Latter-day Saint Ags Ambassador Program

LDS Ags Ambassador program

If you're passionate about sharing your experiences as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while pursuing your education at Texas A&M University, this is your chance to make a difference. Our ambassadors are dedicated volunteers who help inspire and inform youth and families about the unique opportunities of being an "Aggie" in a Latter-day Saint faith-centered community.

What is the Latter-day Saint Ags Ambassador Program?

The Latter-day Saint Ags Ambassador Program connects current and former Texas A&M students who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with local youth, families, and church groups. Ambassadors host informational meetings to share insights on balancing academics, campus life, and spiritual growth at one of the nation's top universities. In addition, Latter-day Saint Ag Ambassadors help educate prospective students and families about the various scholarships that the LDS Ags Foundation offers.

These gatherings can be tailored to different settings:

  • Seminary Level: Engage high school students during seminary classes or events, helping them envision their future at Texas A&M while staying true to their faith.
  • Stake Level: Reach a broader audience across multiple wards, discussing topics like Latter-day Saint resources on campus, institute classes, scholarship opportunities, and building a supportive community.
  • Ward Level: Provide intimate, ward-specific discussions for youth and parents, covering everything from admissions tips to personal testimonies of faith in a secular environment.

Ambassadors draw from their own stories to highlight how Texas A&M's traditions align with gospel principles, such as service, leadership, and excellence.

Why Become an Ambassador?

Volunteering as a Latter-day Saint Ags Ambassador is a rewarding way to give back and strengthen the Church community at Texas A&M. Here's what you'll gain:

  • Share Your Experience: Inspire others by recounting how your faith grew while attending Texas A&M.
  • Build Connections: Network with fellow Latter-day Saint members, church leaders, and prospective students.
  • Make an Impact: Help youth make informed decisions about college, reducing fears about leaving home while emphasizing the strong Latter-day Saint support system at A&M, including the Institute of Religion and student wards.

No prior experience is required — just a willingness to serve and a love for both Texas A&M and the gospel.
